Kori’s life was a patchwork of instability. By the age of 16, she had lived in ten different foster homes, each one a reminder of the family she never had. When she found out she was pregnant, fear and uncertainty overwhelmed her. But amidst the doubt, Kori made a brave decision: she would keep her baby and be the kind of mother she always dreamed of having.

At 16, Kori arrived at Our Mother’s Home feeling lost and alone. It was here that she experienced her very first birthday celebration. It wasn’t about lavish gifts or grand parties—it was the simple, heartfelt gesture of being remembered, of being surrounded by people who cared. For the first time in her life, Kori felt seen and valued.

With the unwavering support of OMH, Kori caught up on school, graduated high school, and pursued her dream of becoming a dental hygienist. All the while, she was raising her baby in a safe, loving environment—a gift she had never known herself but was determined to give her child.
