Our Mother's Home has partnered with one of the most delicious businesses in the area, LadyCakes! From now until August 10th, LadyCakes will be accepting orders to spread sunshine and delivering cupcakes to benefit Our Mother's Home. Delivery dates are available between July 17th and August 18th.
Want to surprise friends or family? Send best wishes to your child's new teacher? Cheer up a coworker? Send a thoughtful message to a client? This is a unique opportunity to spread sunshine and donate to a great cause. For only $35, you can have a box of 4 artisanal, gourmet cupcakes in an assortment of inventive flavors delivered to a person of your choice! Can't decide who to surprise? For only $100, you can send (4) boxes to friends and family! All proceeds go directly towards helping Our Mother's Home continue their mission to empower young mothers in the foster care and human trafficking systems to break the generational cycle for themselves and their children.
This fundraiser was created to help Our Mother's Home finish their goal to move to a larger location and expand their services to more young mothers in the community. Our new building is almost finished and with the help of your donation, we can get there even faster!
As a 501(c)3 organization, Our Mother’s Home raises 50 – 60% of its own funding, to provide teen moms a supporting environment to stay with their children, learn life skills, and finish their education. We depend heavily on our dedicated volunteers, contributions of funds, commodities, and services. Our success rate has generated great interest among those interested in decreasing the rate of children in foster care.
Our Mother’s Home provides a safe and nurturing environment for young moms (ages 11-18) in foster care and their babies. Prior to the launch of Our Mother’s Home in 2000, teenage mothers in foster care were often separated from their child at birth. This unique home is the only one of it’s kind in Southwest Florida to provide service to break the cycle one teen at a time.
So how does this fundraiser work? First, decide whom you'd like to send the box of cupcakes to. Any business or home in Lee County can be chosen. Then, in the notes section, please list as many dates/times as possible that can be selected as delivery times. We are relying on the generosity of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce's Women in Business committee to donate their time and make these deliveries so we do request that you give us patience and we will try our best to accommodate your requests. And finally, in the notes section, leave a short message for your special someone so that they know who their delivery is from and why. All deliveries will be made between July 17th and August 18th. Deliveries will come in a box decorated by teen moms and babies at OMH and a brochure about what your donation is supporting! School starts back August 10th, what a great way to welcome back your child's teacher(s) or thank a special teacher as they begin this year's journey!
